Team S.P.I.T

Hello and thank you for visiting our teams homepage!

We are Team S.P.I.T. or Salivary People in Training! We are a group of researchers in the Larsen Lab at the University at Albany in Albany, NY, and we study how salivary glands develop, respond to injury, and are able to recover from injury in hopes of better understanding salivary gland biology and dysfunction for the development of future therapies. If you want to learn more about our research, please visit our lab webpage: https://larsenlab.org/

One of the main drivers for our research is to help improve quality of life for patients with salivary gland disease, or dysfunction, like Sjögren's Syndrome. We are delighted to have the opportunity to walk in support of these patients and their families in support for education, future research and to increase awareness about Sjögren's Syndrome.

Please consider walking with us (virtual walk – in person Larsen lab walk date and time TBD) or making a donation to support our team! Every dollar helps!
