Why Walk? Walks raise vital Sjögren's awareness and crucial funds to support education and research efforts. This year, we are also commemorating 40 years of Sjögren’s progress with our special walk theme: Conquering Sjögren’s, One Step at a Time!
Participate! Register as an individual and personalize your walk page by sharing your story to encourage others to support your efforts. Or make an even bigger impact by registering as a team captain and recruiting family members, friends, and others to form a team and also raise donations. Donate or raise $50 and you'll receive a Walk for Sjögren’s t-shirt to wear on Walk Day, if you do so by March 31. (Otherwise you might receive your shirt after walk day instead.) You can also earn other exciting prizes the more you raise.
Join us! On April 13, join us for a virtual opening ceremony that brings the Sjögren’s community together and celebrates you and your fundraising and awareness efforts. It will also feature our popular "Ask the Expert" Q&A, registered walkers will be able to presubmit questions and unregistered walkers will be able to ask questions day of. After the ceremony, walk right where you are - at home, in your neighborhood, or at your favorite park. Invite friends and family to join you or form a Walk meetup for anyone in your area.
***Join an optional in-person Walk Meetup with Sarah Crumbley and her Purple Storm team at Fort Hunt Park (8999 Fort Hunt Rd) in Alexandria, VA at 9:45am! Meetup will occur in the very first parking lot after entering park. Join the Opening Ceremony Zoom from your phone, then take part in fun community walk. Everyone is welcome! |
