How much money do I need to raise to participate?
Registration for the Walk for Sjögren's is free, but there is no limit to what you can raise! The funds you raise will help support the Sjögren's Foundation’s mission of research, education and awareness. All attendees who register and raise or donate $50 will earn a Walk T-Shirt.

What if a donor wants a receipt for their donation?
If a donation is made online through your fundraising page, the donor will automatically receive a receipt. If you receive cash or checks, you can provide the Foundation with the name and address of the donor and we can mail the donor a receipt.

I have collected funds in the form of cash and checks, can I add them to my total on my fundraising webpage? 
Yes, just list these donations as offline donations and then mail the donations to the Foundation. (Be sure to include a note with your check that you already entered the donation on your page.)

What is the money we raise used for?
The Sjögren's Foundation is the only national non-profit focused on increasing research, education and awareness for Sjögren's. Funds raised through the Walk for Sjögren's help fund research to encourage and support new therapeutics and diagnostics; further Sjögren's research initiatives; provide support and education to patients and their families; increase public and professional awareness of Sjögren's; and allow the Foundation to serve as the lead organization for Sjögren’s worldwide.

How long is the Walk for Sjögren's?
The Walk is as long as you would like it to be. It is a non-competitive celebratory event, typically 1 mile. Walking is not required, participants may choose their preferred distance to walk at their individual comfort level. 

How do I set up a Facebook Fundraiser connected to my walk fundraising page?
To set up a Facebook fundraiser log into your participant center and click 'Connect Fundraiser to Facebook'. A pop-up will ask you to login to your Facebook page and ask you to allow access. All money earned through this fundraiser will automatically be added to your walk totals.

I don’t have Sjögren's, can I still participate?
Absolutely! Participants may include family, friends, co–workers, etc. All are welcome! We encourage everyone to attend the event (be it virtual or live) to cheer on fellow participants and/or raise funds.

Can others join me on the walk?
Yes, if they are with you, just follow current guidelines for safely walking together. Or they can join you virtually by walking from wherever they are. Out-of-towners can even join in!

Are there fundraising incentive prizes?
Yes, there are incentive prizes, as listed on the fundraising prizes page under Event Info.

When will I receive my T-shirt and participant prizes?
Walkers will receive the incentive prizes that you have earned after the Walk. However, if you register and raise $50 by two weeks before the event, your T-shirt will be mailed to you before walk day.

Where do I send the money I collected?
Please mail your funds collected offline to the Sjögren's Foundation. When mailing, please be sure to include your name, and contact information clearly on the materials. (You can also enter them on your participant page as offline donations, if you would like. Just let us know if you did.)
